The 10th Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS2023)
The 10th Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS2023), organizing by Institute for Somali Studies (ISOS) will take place in Mogadishu, Somalia, from December 5th to 7th, 2023.
Under the theme: Ten Years of Fostering Knowledge
This year, the conference is proudly hosted by three esteemed universities: Mogadishu University, Benadir University and Hormuud University.
We warmly invite scholars, researchers, students, and enthusiasts to submit abstracts for presentations and panels. ACSOS2023 eagerly welcomes contributions spanning a wide spectrum of topics within the field of Somali studies.

Over the past decade, the ACSOS conference series has been an effective platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas in Somali studies. It has consistently promoted academic research and facilitated dialogues on Somali studies, serving as a forum that brings together scholars, academicians, decision-makers, researchers, experts, civil society activists, and public figures from diverse backgrounds and experiences to share their knowledge and insights.
As usual, ACSOS2023 provides and anticipates engaging discussions on various disciplines within this field.

The Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS) is an academic conference launched in April 2014 and is organized in Mogadishu every year by ISOS. It provides a platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners and other scholars to present and discuss their work, also to exchange updated knowledge and issues in the field, with special consideration of the topics vital to the recovery and reconstruction of Somalia.
