ISOS organized a consultative meeting of SYRI members on 15/12/2016. The meeting evaluated the implementation of the action plan of the ending year 2016; also, they assessed the needs and proposed the main activities of the coming year.

Somali Young Researchers Initiative (SYRI) is a means to explore and ignite the potential capacity of Somali young researchers under the motto: "Dig Deeper and reach new heights". It was launched by ISOS, for promoting and preparing them to engage in research in Somali Studies, particularly in humanities and social science.
