Somali Studies: A peer-reviewed academic journal for Somali studies invites the submission of articles for the coming issue, volume 10 (2025), from all scholars and researchers, both within and outside of Horn of Africa.
Somali Studies accepts scholarly works in different areas and disciplines on Somalia, Horn of Africa and the Somali diaspora communities around the world. Somali Studies appreciates articles exploring the historical background or navigating the contemporary issues. More information is available here.
The submission process begins with one page abstract and a biography of the author with full contact details. We prefer early notification of intention of contribution, and highly appreciate early submission. The complete paper is to be sent not later than December 31, 2024.
A symbolic honorarium is paid to the author(s) for each published article or essay as a token of gratitude for their contribution, to promote quality research, and to motivate young researchers facing economic constraints.
Somali Studies is an open access journal, and all articles are freely available online, it is open access, and all articles are freely available online.
