The 8th Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS2021) has been successfully completed. The conference was held in 07-09 December 2021 under the theme of “Knowledge and Development”.
ACSOS2021 consisted of three categories of activities: physical sessions in Mogadishu, virtual sessions on zoom and Facebook LIVE in the evening, and student poster presentations. More than 20 presentations in different fields were delivered by academics and researchers from universities, research centers, civil society organizations and government officials.
The Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS) is an academic conference launched in April 2014 and is organized annually by the institute for Somali Studies.
